*Peppermint (Mentha piperita)- One of the oldest household remedies for easing problems with the digestive system. It has been used for so many ailments including nausea, colic, flatulent dyspepsia, vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, spasms (especially in children), digestive induced migraines, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, travel sickness, fevers with colds and flu, anxiety, and tension. It has also proven useful for sudden cases of faintness or dizziness with extreme coldness and pale countenance.

*Red Clover (Trifolium pratense)--Toted as one of God's greatest blessings to man. It may help reduce acidity in the body and help with the assimilation of iron. This herb is high in minerals, vitamins and proteins. A wonderful blood purifier and lymphatic cleanser which makes it helpful for most skin complaints. A great remedy for cancer of the stomach and all other types of cancer, whooping cough, bronchial troubles, and various spasms, kidney complaints, arthritis, as well as being soothing to the nerves. It is a gentle herb which is good for long-term consumption even by young children and elderly people.

*Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria)- One of the three sacred druid herbs, it is one of the best digestive remedies in the way it protects and soothes the mucous membranes of the digestive tract. This herb is good for diarrhea, heartburn, gout, over-acid stomach, arthritic and rheumatic pains, urinary infections, nausea, and is especially good for children's stomach complaints. It can dry up excessive damp lying behind inflammatory fever and digestive conditions, alkalize the system, & reduce acidity.

*Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum officinale)-- It is one of the best natural sources of potassium, which makes it helpful in cases of water retention. Its natural nutritive salts purify and help neutralize acids in the blood. Dandelion can have a beneficial effect on the female organs and increase the activity of liver, pancreas and spleen. It may be used in inflammation and congestion of the liver and gall bladder, specific in cases of congestive jaundice.

*Burdock root (Arctium lappa)-Has been used throughout history as an aphrodisiac, hormone balancer, and potent blood cleanser. It is high in nutrients with an abundance of iron so it is of special value to the blood and as a general body builder. It can improve appetite and digestion, increase lymphatic circulation, purify blood toxins, eliminate long-term impurities from the body, stimulate bile secretion, help restore the function of the liver and gall bladder, improve skin problems, and stimulate the immune system in a slow, steady, and deep way.

*Milk thistle seed (Silybum marianum)- It not only protects each cell of the liver from incoming toxins, but simultaneously encourages the liver to cleanse itself of damaging substances, such as alcohol, drugs, medications, mercury and heavy metals, pesticides, anesthesia, and even the most poisonous of mushrooms. One of the special qualities of Milk Thistle is that it cleanses and detoxifies an overburdened and stagnant liver while also being able to strengthen and tonify a weak liver; thus, delivering potent medicine to clogged, excess conditions as well as to weakened, deficient conditions. Milk Thistle helps protect and regenerate the liver in most liver diseases such as Cirrhosis (hardening of the liver), Jaundice & Hepatitis, (inflammation of the liver), and Cholangitis (inflammation of bile ducts resulting in decreased bile flow). It has also been used to help treat and prevent gallstones and a wide array of problems associated with the gall bladder. Milk Thistle is a powerful herb for supporting the liver to purify the blood and is one of the best herbs for skin disorders such as eczema and dermatitis. It is also effective for treating congestion, inflammation, or irritations of the kidneys, spleen, and pelvic region. It is also used as a mild laxative, a powerful antioxidant, and a milk promoter in breast-feeding mothers.

*Yellow dock root (Rumex crispus)- Useful in treating diseases of the blood because of its high iron content. It has been used extensively by the Native American Indians for stimulating digestion and elimination, improving liver and stomach action, improving bile flow, and as a laxative. It has the ability to tone up the entire system and is an excellent and effective remedy for: impure blood, eruptive skin diseases, scrofula, glandular tumors, anemia, jaundice, lymph problems, liver congestion, syphilis, psoriasis, eczema, constipation, and rheumatism.

*Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale)-Similar in action to dandelion leaf but has a generally deeper and stronger affect. It detoxifies, clears obstructions, and stimulates the liver to unload poisons. It can also aid a sluggish spleen, pancreas, gall bladder, bladder, or kidneys. Dandelion root tends to promote digestion, increase appetite, and purify the blood. It is an excellent herb for detoxifying from a bad diet or over-eating fried and fatty foods. It is a natural source of protein, iron, calcium, potassium salts, and is very high in Vitamin A (6x that of carrots). An old and well-known remedy for any of the following: increasing the flow of urine in liver problems, constipation, jaundice, skin diseases, scurvy, scrofula, eczema, kidney troubles, diabetes, dropsy, inflammation of the bowels, fever, and problems with the female organs.
